What is Cupping Therapy?

Cupping therapy is a form of alternative medicine where suction is used to promote blood circulation, reduce inflammation and increase relaxation. Think of it as a ‘reverse massage’, where the skin is being ‘pulled’ rather than ‘pushed’. Although cupping has been trending lately, the technique goes back to the ancient Egyptians, Chinese and other Middle Eastern cultures. However, just because something has been around for a while, doesn’t mean it’s safe or beneficial. Click here to read more about cupping therapy, what side effects are associated with the technique, what questions you should ask prior to treatment, and if it’s all really worth it.

Food Waste: The World’s Dumbest Problem

Did you know that approximately one football stadium of food is thrown out every day in the United States? Did you also know that the majority of this food is untouched, unspoiled and perfectly edible? It’s crazy to think that pristine loaves of bread, pre-packed salads, and deli meats are tossed out every day, particularly when around 1 in 8 Americans cannot readily get food on their table. Watch the video below to learn more about food waste, and what you can do to stop it.

Push Yourself

Comfort. To some, it is inner peace, a state free of pain and suffering, an assurance that keeps us safe. To others, it is the moment we stop growing, the moment we turn down opportunities, the moment we stop living our lives. Comfort is a luxury many people hope for, but it is also a sign of stagnation if we let it take over our lives entirely. In the experience of Yubing Zhang, “life begins at the edge of your comfort zone”. So push yourself, because you never know what heights you will achieve.
